January 31 2017 is the 80th birthday of Philip Glass, probably the most celebrated living composer. Bath Camerata is thrilled to have been asked to collaborate with the renowned Bristol Ensemble in a concert of Glass’s fascinating and often hypnotic music. This will take place just a few days after Glass’s birthday, on Saturday 11 February, at St George’s, the world famous concert hall in the the middle of Bristol. (Bath Camerata first worked with the Bristol Ensemble in April 2016, in a standout performance of Handel’s Dixit Dominus for the Wotton Festival. On the strength of this, we look forward to many further collaborations with this first class chamber orchestra.)
